Press 53, located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is a publisher of award-winning poetry and short fiction collections, and was founded in October 2005. We ignore market trends and publish writing we love. We publish 6-8 poetry collections each year, including titles under our Tom Lombardo Poetry Selections, edited by Tom Lombardo; our Silver Concho Poetry Series, edited by Pamela Uschuk and William Pitt Root; plus the winner of our annual Press 53 Award for Poetry.

We will read fictional text and create a summary, along with identify the theme. We will start the Civil War. We will complete a past tense narrative.

Paola was born in Curitiba, Parana in the south of Brazil. After age seven, she and her family moved to the United States, where they have lived in several parts of California. After high school, Paola moved back to the Bay Area to study Fine Art at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
